At Saltaire Primary School, we know that working families live busy lives and want to support them to the best of our abilities. We also recognise that different children have different preferences for how they want to spend their time before or after the school day.
We take a nurturing approach to looking after children and keeping them safe - both physically and emotionally - throughout the school day and before and after school.
Saltaire Primary School's Rise & Shine Club (7.30am-8.50am) and Horizons Club (3.30pm-6.00pm) (Before and After School Care)
Our Rise & Shine Club runs on a daily basis from 7.30am - 8.50am, where the children enjoy a selection of healthy breakfast choices. From 3:30pm - 6:00pm, our Horizons Club (after school provision) also provides a light hot meal with a range of meals served over the course of the week. Fresh fruit is always available for the children to enjoy. Please see the menu below.
We have a dedicated space within the smaller school building where the children get to spend time with their friends in a homely environment. There are different planned activities each day and the children thoroughly enjoy playing out in the fresh air, come rain or shine once they have eaten their breakfast or evening meal.

If you need to contact the Horizons Club staff after the school office has closed at 4.00pm, please call, message or Whatsapp 07951072056. Our Horizons Club Manager will get back to you if needed. Please ensure any messages include your child's name. Please note this number is only for pick up emergencies.
Working in partnership with Hirst Wood Nursery School
Parents of younger children at Saltaire Primary School (Reception to Year 3) also have the option to send their children to The Sunshine Club at Hirst Wood Nursery School. You can find further information about this here.
We mirror the timings and offering of Hirst Wood so it is up to you which option you prefer.
Children who go to The Sunshine Club are taken to and collected from their classes each day.
Saltaire Childcare Education Partnership
Saltaire Childcare Education Partnership is a collective of before and after school care providers based in the local area. Their vision is to ensure families are informed about the range of childcare providers within the local community so that they can make an informed choice about childcare.
We recognise that families have diverse needs, and the providers within the partnership offer a diverse range of care to help meet these varying needs. Ranging from small to large providers, each member of the partnership offers child-centred care.
